Brewster Bulldogs holds on for 3-2 win against Frederick Freeze

Frederick Freeze tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Brewster Bulldogs Bulldogs would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2.

Brewster Bulldogs made the score 2-0 on a goal by Nicholas Alexander at 16:47 in the second period, and Frederick Freeze got as close as 2-1 when Adam Gnatowski scored 13:21 into the third period.

The Bulldogs were led by Jack Gilson, who grabbed one goal. Gilson scored 16:19 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Brewster Bulldogs. Michael McGivney picked up the assist.

Brewster Bulldogs' offense efficiently hummed along to the tune of 40 shots put on Frederick Freeze's net. Penalties took their toll on the Bulldogs, as their penalty kill unit let in two power play goals.

Willie Sanchez also scored for Brewster Bulldogs. More assists for Brewster Bulldogs came via Bengt-Erik Nergaard, Joseph Wegwerth, Angus McLean, and Michael Laffin, who each chipped in one.

Frederick Freeze stifled Brewster Bulldogs' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Other players who recorded assists for Frederick Freeze were Temur Hannan, who had two and Pierce McCaull and James Dorrian, who contributed one each.

Tyler Stark recorded 23 saves for the Bulldogs. Brewster Bulldogs incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Frederick Freeze's John Ketzenberger stopped 37 shots out of the 40 that he faced. Frederick Freeze incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
