Junior Bruins rips New England Huskies, 6-2

Junior Bruins had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-2 win over New England Huskies.

Michael Pirovano had two goals to lead Junior Bruins to victory. Pirovano's tallies came at 7:29 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Junior Bruins and 2:42 into the third to make the score 5-2 Junior Bruins.

Junior Bruins put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow New England Huskies to score on any of its five power plays. Junior Bruins kept New England Huskies' goalie busy throughout the game, and Benjamin Gagnon made 39 saves on 45 shots. The defensemen of Junior Bruins were also effective in New England Huskies' zone, and came away with two goals.

Junior Bruins additionally got points from Alex Duplessie, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Mike Kantorski, who also had one goal and one assist, and Hayden Voss, who also registered one goal and one assist. Nelson Pulling also scored for Junior Bruins. Other players who recorded assists for Junior Bruins were Daniel Resop, Luke Prendergast, and Henry Fairbairn, who contributed one each and Zach Sandonato, Nolan Hamilton, and Cody Williams, who each chipped in two.

New England Huskies' offense operated below it season average. New England Huskies averages four goals per game. New England Huskies' offense efficiently hummed along to the tune of 32 shots put on Junior Bruins' net.

New England Huskies was helped by Eddie Barrasso, who racked up one goal. Barrasso scored 14:08 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Junior Bruins. Ryan LaPlante assisted on the tally. New England Huskies got a goal from Ian Latham as well. In addition, New England Huskies received assists from Evan Beatty and Kip Strong, who contributed one each.
