Jersey Wildcats blows out Potomac Patriots, 5-1

Jersey Wildcats had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over Potomac Patriots.

Jersey Wildcats was led by Joseph Rametta, who racked up one goal and one assist. Rametta scored 37 seconds into the third period to make the score 4-1 Jersey Wildcats. Martin Rovnak assisted on the tally.

Jersey Wildcats' offense efficiently hummed along to the tune of 36 shots put on Potomac Patriots' net.

Jersey Wildcats also got points from Rovnak, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Ryan Morse, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Matthew Sangalli, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Zachary DeSaulniers also scored for Jersey Wildcats. Other players who recorded assists for Jersey Wildcats were Tommy Savino, Gage Malinowski, Austin Gordon, Nicholas Hermann, and Trevor Post, who each chipped in one.

Potomac Patriots was led by Jeffery Egan, who scored the team's only goal. Egan scored on the power play 2:35 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Jersey Wildcats. A roughing penalty on Shawn Rose had put Potomac Patriots on the power play. Miles Miller picked up the assist.

Grant Perry made 21 saves for Jersey Wildcats on 22 shots. Jersey Wildcats totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play. Patrick Anderson recorded 31 saves for Potomac Patriots. Potomac Patriots incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
