Mass Maple Leafs wins seesaw game versus New England Huskies, 7-6

Mass Maple Leafs and New England Huskies played a back-and-forth game, as they traded the lead four times in a 7-6 Mass Maple Leafs win.

Joseph Fernandes and Ryan Fehnel provided the spark for Mass Maple Leafs, combining for three goals and three assists. Fernandes had one goal and two assists and Fehnel also notched two goals and one assist.

New England Huskies was unable to stop Mass Maple Leafs from sending pucks towards the net, and Mass Maple Leafs eventually piled up 63 shots on goal. Mass Maple Leafs' penalty kill was ineffective, and let in five goals to New England Huskies' power play unit. Mass Maple Leafs' defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. Mass Maple Leafs gives up two goals per game.

Mass Maple Leafs also got points from Rick Loveless, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Mass Maple Leafs also had goals scored by Ryan McCarthy, who had one and Keanen Romero, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Mass Maple Leafs were Tyler Person, who had one.

New England Huskies forced Mass Maple Leafs goalie Donald Hesse to work between the pipes, taking 51 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals. New England Huskies could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

New England Huskies was helped by Tomas Parizek, who grabbed two goals and one assist. Parizek scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 14:27 into the second period to make the score 3-2 New England Huskies. New England Huskies earned a power play opportunity when Steven Hole was put in the box for roughing. Keith Barnaby provided the assist. Parizek's next tally on the power play made the score 4-3 New England Huskies with 16:07 left in the third period. A tripping penalty on Hesse had put New England Huskies on the power play. Ryan LaPlante picked up the assist. New England Huskies additionally got points from Barnaby, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Alec Hazelwood, who also registered one goal and one assist, and LaPlante, who also had one goal and two assists. New England Huskies got a goal from Eddie Barrasso as well. More assists for New England Huskies came via Chris Gravelle, who had one.

Donald Hesse made 45 saves for Mass Maple Leafs on 51 shots. Mass Maple Leafs totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 2-for-7 on the power play. Joseph Beauchesne turned away 56 pucks between the pipes for New England Huskies. New England Huskies ran into disciplinary problems during the contest, and Barrasso was ejected from the game.
