Mass Maple Leafs beats New England Huskies 7-3 as Frey gets hat trick

New England Huskies could not stop Mass Maple Leafs' Marc Frey, who tallied a hat trick in a 7-3 win.

Frey got on the scoresheet 19:46 into the first period. He then added goals at 19:56 into the second and at 7:09 into the third.

Mass Maple Leafs' offense efficiently hummed along to the tune of 34 shots put on New England Huskies' net.

Mass Maple Leafs additionally got points from Frey, who also had three goals and two assists and Hagen Nemzek, who also finished with two goals and three assists. Adam McGrath also scored for Mass Maple Leafs. In addition, Mass Maple Leafs received assists from Michael Owen, who had two, Kurtis Garcia, who had four, and Rick Loveless and Jacob Dyl, who each chipped in one.

New England Huskies was led by Dustin Paquette, who racked up two goals. Paquette scored the first of his two goals at 50 seconds into the third period to make the score 6-2 Mass Maple Leafs. Alec Hazelwood assisted on the tally. Paquette's next tally made the score 7-3 Mass Maple Leafs with 7:39 left in the third period. Tomas Parizek picked up the assist. New England Huskies got a goal from Ian Latham as well. More assists for New England Huskies came via Andy Loranger, Kip Strong, and Eric Pilecki, who contributed one each.

Donald Hesse recorded 19 saves for Mass Maple Leafs. Mass Maple Leafs incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. New England Huskies' Benjamin Gagnon stopped 27 shots out of the 34 that he faced. New England Huskies incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
