Mass Maple Leafs rolls over Bay State Breakers, 5-1

Mass Maple Leafs had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over Bay State Breakers.

Mass Maple Leafs was led by goalie Austin Miller, who finished with 27 saves while allowing one goal. Miller managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 1.75 prior to the game.

Hagen Nemzek was all over the ice for Mass Maple Leafs, as he tallied two goals in the win. Nemzek's tallies came at 13:41 into the second period to make the score 3-0 Mass Maple Leafs and 18:06 into the second to make the score 4-0 Mass Maple Leafs.

Mass Maple Leafs' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Bay State Breakers power plays. Mass Maple Leafs kept Bay State Breakers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Kevin Hoy made 61 saves on 66 shots.

Mass Maple Leafs additionally got points from Marc Frey, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Rick Loveless, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Sidney Thomas, who also racked up one goal and one assist. In addition, Mass Maple Leafs received assists from Steven Hole, Colin Cordeiro, Kurtis Garcia, Michael Owen, and Keanen Romero, who each chipped in one.

Bay State Breakers was led by Mitchell Boothman, who scored the team's only goal. Boothman scored 12:23 into the third period to make the score 4-1 Mass Maple Leafs. Michael Williams assisted on the tally.

Mass Maple Leafs incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Bay State Breakers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
