Mass Maple Leafs downs Junior Bruins in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Joseph Fernandes gave Mass Maple Leafs a 4-3 (OT) victory over Junior Bruins when he scored 4:48 into the extra period.

Mass Maple Leafs came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Mass Maple Leafs fell behind 2-0 after a power play goal by Junior Bruins' Zach Sandonato at 18:38 in the first period. Mass Maple Leafs knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Dan Pirovano at 19:22 in the third period.

Fernandes was all over the ice for Mass Maple Leafs, as he finished with two goals in the win.

Mass Maple Leafs' offense operated below it season average. Mass Maple Leafs puts an average of six pucks into the net per game.

Hagen Nemzek also scored for Mass Maple Leafs. More assists for Mass Maple Leafs came via Samuel Jenkins, who had one, Kurtis Garcia, who had two, and Marc Frey, who had three.

The Junior Bruins penalty box was a busy place as the team totaled six minors and two majors for 42 minutes in penalty time. Junior Bruins had been averaging 16 minutes in penalties per game. Junior Bruins could not produce up to it normal offensive output. Junior Bruins averages five goals per game. Junior Bruins' offense efficiently hummed along to the tune of 39 shots put on Mass Maple Leafs' net.

Cody Stocker turned away 36 pucks between the pipes for Mass Maple Leafs. Mass Maple Leafs totaled 38 minutes in penalty time with four minors and two majors and went 1-for-7 on the power play. Mass Maple Leafs ran into disciplinary problems during the contest, and Colin Cordeiro was ejected from the game. Shane Benjamin recorded 22 saves for Junior Bruins. Junior Bruins registered one goal on four power play opportunities. For Junior Bruins, Kevin McKernan was ejected from the game.
