McKinlee Baum was superb between the pipes for Missoula, as he did not allow a goal in a 5-0 victory over Great Falls. Great Falls' power play was ineffective against Missoula's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. Missoula was paced by Brett Mathews, who registered one goal. Mathews scored 2:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Missoula. Will Stawinski picked up the assist. Missoula put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Great Falls to score on any of its 10 power plays. Missoula kept Great Falls' goalie busy throughout the game, and Riley Poe made 39 saves on 44 shots. Missoula was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 20 penalty minutes. Missoula additionally got points from Zach Paisley, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Missoula included Paxton Bell, who had one and Dustin Pierce, who had two. In addition, Missoula received assists from Dunk Abbott, who had one and Alan Maul, who had two. Great Falls' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Missoula power plays.
