The Amarillo Bulls used a sparkling performance by Gregg Gruehl to take down the Odessa Jackalopes, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Amarillo's 1-0 shutout victory. Mike Erickson's game-winning tally was the game's only goal. It came at 7:09 in the second period. Karl Beckman picked up the assist. The Bulls were led by Erickson, who finished with one goal. The Jackalopes incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
