The Amarillo Bulls used a sparkling performance by Gregg Gruehl to take down the Odessa Jackalopes, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Amarillo's 1-0 shutout victory.

Mike Erickson's game-winning tally was the game's only goal. It came at 7:09 in the second period. Karl Beckman picked up the assist.

The Bulls were led by Erickson, who finished with one goal.

Amarillo stifled Odessa's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Bulls' offense operated below they season average. Amarillo averages 4.4 goals per game.
