The Fairbanks Ice Dogs survived a determined comeback attempt by the Kenai River Brown Bears on the way to a 5-4 win.

Fairbanks made the score 5-2 on a goal by Tayler Munson at 8:16 in the third period, and Kenai River got as close as 5-4 when Sean Muller scored 18:35 into the third period.

The Ice Dogs got the win thanks to a great game by Munson, who had two goals and one assist. Munson scored the first of his two goals at 1:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Fairbanks. Garret Clemment picked up the assist. Munson's next tally made the score Fairbanks with 11:44 left in the third period. Clemment provided the assist.

Fairbanks put 35 shots on net during the contest, more than the 28.6 it averages per game.

Fairbanks additionally got points from Evan Wilson, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Fairbanks also got a goal from JT Osborn as well. The Ice Dogs' Alex Fons stopped 18 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Fairbanks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Austin Severson rejected 30 shots on goal for the Brown Bears. Kenai River incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
