The Fairbanks Ice Dogs survived a determined comeback attempt by the Kenai River Brown Bears on the way to a 5-4 win. Fairbanks made the score 5-2 on a goal by Tayler Munson at 8:16 in the third period, and Kenai River got as close as 5-4 when Sean Muller scored 18:35 into the third period. The Ice Dogs got the win thanks to a great game by Munson, who had two goals and one assist. Munson scored the first of his two goals at 1:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Fairbanks. Garret Clemment picked up the assist. Munson's next tally made the score Fairbanks with 11:44 left in the third period. Clemment provided the assist.
