Twin City completes comeback, beats Minnesota, 7-5TCO Training Haus Sun, Feb 26, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
Undaunted by a three-goal deficit, the Twin City Steel battled back to claim a 7-5 victory over the Minnesota Flying Aces. Twin City never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Steel trailed 4-1 after a goal by Minnesota's Liam Johnston at 6:54 in the second period. Twin City knotted things up at 5-5 on a goal by Colton Radtke at 17:36 in the third period. The Steel netted the game winner at 18:04 in the third period on a goal by Radtke. The Flying Aces were unable to stop Twin City from sending pucks towards the net, and the Steel eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. Twin City found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Steel average 3.5 goals per contest. Twin City was helped by Brandon Busse, who finished with three goals. Twin City also got points from Sam Basich, who also grabbed one goal and three assists. Twin City also got a goal from Daniel Billiar as well. In addition, Twin City received assists from Karson Kuntz, who had three and Tanner Fricke, Tyler Montgomery, and Tony Folk, who contributed one a piece. Cote Dickerson also scored for Minnesota. Other players who recorded assists for Minnesota were Kyle Bonstrom, who had two and Mike Kucil, Paul Sorenson, Tyler Pionk, and Parker Tomczyk, who each chipped in one. Evan Weiss made 23 saves for the Steel on 28 shots. Twin City totaled 43 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 2-for-4 on the power play. Team's Evan Weiss and Folk were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Allen Patten rejected 30 shots on goal for Minnesota. The Flying Aces incurred 38 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
