The Battle Creek Jr. Revolution tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Metro Jets held on for a 3-2 victory. Metro took a 3-1 lead during the second period, only to have Battle Creek storm back on a Steven Sadowsky goal 5:48 into the third period to pull to one goal down. The Jets were led by Matt Stirling, who finished with one goal. Stirling scored 2:57 into the second period to make the score Metro. John Baker picked up the assist. Metro forced the Jr. Revolution goalie Matthew Hughes to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots. Battle Creek's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Metro power plays. The Jr. Revolution kept the Jets' goalie busy throughout the game, and Eric Trunick made 40 saves on 42 shots. Metro got a goal from Jake Schlacht as well.
