St. Louis survives penalties, beats Chicago, 5-2Affton Ice Rink Sun, Feb 12, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Chicago Hitmen failed to take advantage of their power play opportunities and the St. Louis Jr. Blues shook off a number of penalties to win, 5-2. St. Louis was paced by Johnny Mueller, who finished with one goal. Mueller scored short handed 5:14 into the second period to make the score 3-2 St. Louis. A boarding call on Zachary OBryan put the Jr. Blues on the penalty kill. Bobby Brown provided the assist. In a losing effort, Chicago was led by Collin Warner, who tallied two goals. Chicago's offense efficiently hummed along to the tune of 35 shots put on the Jr. Blues' net. The Hitmen stifled St. Louis' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
