A hat trick by Matt Robertson was the highlight in Bears' 6-3 win against the Gloucester Rangers. Robertson notched his first tally 1:20 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:54 into the first and at 19:06 into the second.The Smiths Falls Bears put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Gloucester to score on any of its five power plays. Smiths Falls forced the Rangers goalie Sebastian Gratton to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots. The Bears found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, Smiths Falls averages three goals per contest. Smiths Falls also got points from Robertson, who also tallied three goals and three assists, Connor McLaren, who also had one goal and three assists, and Jeffrey Carroll, who also registered one goal and two assists. Smiths Falls got a goal from Michael Buonincontri as well. The Bears' Mackenzie Sawyer stopped 24 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Smiths Falls incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Sebastian Gratton made 35 saves for Gloucester on 41 shots. The Rangers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
