Notes
Hurricanes open season 2-0 against the Palm Beach Hawks with sunday win. Spacecoast overcame an early deficit on the road at the Palm Beach Hawks to take a 6-3 victory. After trailing early 2-0, the Hurricanes scored two goals to tie the game in the first period. The teams traded two more goals in the first which ended in a 3-3 tie. The rest of the game belonged to Spacecoast. After coming into the net in relief of the starter at the 10:21 mark of the first period, #35 Nick Wayland shut the door on the Hawks, making 32 saves in the final two periods. The Hurricanes added two goals in the second and one in the third for the victory and a two game sweep of the Hawks on the weekend. The Hawks net minder Stephen Sundberg did his best to keep his team in the game making 40 saves in taking the loss.
