Peters Township holds on for 3-2 win against Bethel Park

Bethel Park tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but Peters Township held on for a 3-2 victory.

Peters Township made the score 3-1 on a goal by Adam Alavi at 11:29 in the third period, and Bethel Park got as close as 3-2 when Louie McLinden scored 15:29 into the third period.

Alavi had a great game for Peters Township, netting two goals.

Peters Township could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

Peters Township also got points from Brady Cochrane, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Peters Township were Carter Ekberg, who had one and Sam Barnes and Zachery Gielarowski, who each chipped in two.

Bethel Park put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Peters Township to score on any of its three power plays.

Bethel Park was helped by Gary Cerrone, who registered one goal. Cerrone scored on the power play 11:17 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Peters Township. Bethel Park had gotten the advantage when Peters Township's Ryan Madore was sent off for interference. Andrew Bello picked up the assist. Bethel Park additionally got points from McLinden, who also racked up one goal and one assist.

Tony Lejeune rejected 28 shots on goal for Peters Township. William Lowe III made 20 saves for Bethel Park on 23 shots. Bethel Park incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
