R Wings' comeback falls short, R Canadians wins 3-2

R Canadians, which led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by R Canadians and clinched a 3-2 victory.

R Canadians led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when R Canadians' Bruce Gooel's scored at 16:33 in the first period to put R Canadians up 3-0.

Gooel was all over the ice for R Canadians, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Gooel scored the first of his two goals at 11:54 into the first period to make the score 2-0 R Canadians. Joe Grusling provided the assist. Gooel's next tally made the score R Canadians with 3:27 left in the first period.

R Canadians pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 18 penalty minutes.

Ken Wilkins also scored for R Canadians.

R Wings was helped by Ben Haynes, who tallied one goal. Haynes scored 4:18 into the second period to make the score 3-2 R Canadians. Joe White assisted on the tally. R Wings also got a goal from Parker Johnson as well. In addition, R Wings received assists from Keri Topouzian and Steve Dietrich, who contributed one a piece.

Kevin Beebe made 14 saves for R Canadians on 16 shots. R Canadians registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. R Canadians ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Gooel was ejected from the game. Bret Beaudry rejected 15 shots on goal for R Wings. R Wings incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
