It didn’t look good for the Jets before the puck dropped as Cam, Maksymetz, Ted, and Chad Oahu were all out with injuries. JF filled in for the 4 injuries. The Jets jumped out to a surprising lead as they were putting everything on net and winning most of the battles. At the end of the first quarter, Matty and Merritt were still trying to figure out Hern while the Jordan\CFL combination joined to put the Jets up 3-1. The Rockies battled back to take a one goal lead and the teams then traded goals back and forth until the game was tied 6-6 in the fourth quarter. This game saw offensive contributions from the defence as rookie Trevor potted 2 and veterans Sean Brosseau, Nash, and Cunliffe were able to help their team with beauties of their own. After keeping it a one goal game for so long, the Rockies went up by 2 to make it 8-6 with a few minutes to go. A foot injury to Jordan likely played a part of this and the Jets tried to scramble to find one by pulling their goalie. The Rockies scored two more to seal the deal.
