ANCASTER—Saturday night it will be all about the kids when the Ancaster Avalanche Junior B Hockey Club play host to the Dave Andreychuk Foundation Night and the Morgan Firestone Arena will be the place to be.

The Andreychuk Foundation has three goals.  The first is to assist children in need, second is to support causes for children and families enduring chronic and/or life threatening illness, and the third is to encourage the investment of youth and amateur sports.

Saturday night, Dave Andreychuk, the Foundations founder will be on hand to drop the ceremonial puck, and sign autographs.  This will be a great opportunity to meet another one of Hamilton's Stanley Cup winners in person.  Dave won the legendary trophy in

2003–04 with the Tampa Bay Lightning.  The Lightning defeated the Calgary Flames in seven games to win the Cup on home ice.  At the conclusion of his 23-year National Hockey League career Andreychuk retired as one of the highest scoring left-wingers in the game.

The night will be filled with prizes, and fundraising in support of the Foundation.  A portion of the ticket sales along with revenue from the 50/50 sales and the Avalanche Beer Garden will go to support of Dave's foundation, which is about giving back to the community through children's charities and helping kids reach their goals.

Darrin Laidman, 95.3 Fresh FM's Morning Man, will MC the evening's events, which will feature the first telecast of an Ancaster Avalanche game on Hamilton's Cable 14 when the Avs take on the St. Catharines Falcons at 7:30 p.m.

Twenty-four-year-old singer-songwriter Ellie Ketseitis of Ancaster will perform the National Anthem, and the Ancaster Minor Novice AA team will take to the ice during the first intermission.

Ancaster Avalanche season tickets are still available.  Season-long reserved seating is available at $150 for adults and $75 for children, students, and seniors.  Single game tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children, students, and seniors.
