The contest to name the new London Nationals mascot drew many worthy entries, but in the end a name with a nod to the team's history was chosen.

The London Nationals mascot is now known as "Lou", a tribute to the Lou Ball Juniors, a Jr. B team which played out of the Ontario Arena at the Western Fairgrounds beginning in 1950.

The winning name was submitted by Nationals P.A. announcer Tommy Goudge, who donated the prize to the runner-up Jacob Bogart. Jacob's submission was "T.N.T." for "The Nationals Teddy".

Jacob took home a great prize package worth over $500, including an Elite Fit Pack with 2 free weeks with a personal trainer, and a weight-loss meal plan with his very own nutritionist from Elite Personal Training, the official sports training centre of the London Nationals.
