Date: Jul 12, 2025
The Blues picked up an easy win on Sunday night, taking care of the North Adams SteepleCats 13-5 at Muzzy Field.
James Pazdera (Ramapo) made his fourth start of the season. The New Jersey native went four innings with five strikeouts. Randy Ramnarace (New Haven), Carson Renner (Penn State), and Will Burns (Harvard) combined for three and two-thirds innings with two earned runs and two strikeouts out of the bullpen. Kyle Emmons (Penn State) recorded the final four outs of the game with three punchouts, earning his fourth save of the summer.
Trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth, the Blues finally got on the board thanks to an RBI double from Joe Tiroly (Virginia). After North Adams added an insurance run in the top of the sixth, Bristol responded with six runs in the bottom half of the inning to take a commanding lead. The inning was highlighted by a two-run single from Tiroly and a two-run double from Luke Nomura (Fairfield). Tiroly and Nomura each had three RBIs on the night, combining for seven hits in ten at-bats.
Leading 7-5 in the bottom of the eighth, the Blues put up their second six-run inning of the night. Scott Gell (Stony Brook), C.J. Egrie (Holy Cross), J.T. Landwehr (Portland), and Gianno Merlonghi (Central Connecticut) each collected RBIs in the inning.
Bristol (13-8) remains tied for second place in the South Division with the Martha's Vineyard Sharks (12-7), who they host on Tuesday night. The Newport Gulls remain in first place (13-7).
