Kansas State standout AJ Evasco put together a record-breaking freshman campaign in 2025, earning national recognition and rewriting the Wildcats' history books.

• Named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team

• Selected as an All-American by ABCA, Perfect Game, and Baseball America

• Set Kansas State University all-time freshman records for:

  • RBIs (52)

Evasco’s combination of power, poise, and production made him one of the top freshmen in the country, solidifying his place as a rising star in college baseball. AJ Evasco played at Lincoln East High School, where he established himself as one of the top high school players in the country. He was a Rawlings Gold Glove recipient, named a Rawlings First Team All-American, and earned MaxPreps Second Team All-American honors. A two-time First Team All-State selection, Evasco had an outstanding senior season, batting .480 with 49 hits, including 14 doubles, two triples, and eight home runs, while driving in 53 runs.

In his first year at Kansas State, AJ Evasco put together an impressive freshman campaign, hitting .311 over 51 starts and 56 appearances. He set Kansas State all-time freshman records with 11 home runs and 52 RBIs, while also adding 12 doubles and one triple. Defensively, he was outstanding with a .992 fielding percentage, and at the plate, he recorded 14 multi-hit games, showcasing his consistency and offensive impact throughout the season.
