The Gulls Are Riding Into Week Four With Momentum!
NEWPORT, R.I. – The Newport Gulls have surged to a 9-6 record after winning four of their last five games, including two key victories on the road. With momentum on their side, the Gulls are set for another action-packed week as they look to climb the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) standings.
Newport opens the week on Monday, June 23, traveling to Goodall Park to face the Sanford Mainers at 6:30 p.m. Monday’s game is the only Monday matchup where Newport will be away from Cardines Field in the regular season.
The Gulls will have Tuesday off before returning home to Cardines Field on Wednesday, June 25, to host the Danbury Westerners. Wednesday is Newport Mansions Night, with the first 250 fans receiving free Newport Mansions hats.
On Thursday, Newport is back on the road, heading north to Joe Wolfe Field for their second and final regular-season matchup against the North Adams SteepleCats at 6:30 p.m.
The Gulls return to Cardines Field on Friday, June 27, for a cross-division showdown with the North Shore Navigators. Friday is Newport Classic Cruises Night, and the first 500 fans will receive a free Newport Classic Cruises koozie while supplies last.
The week wraps up with a Saturday evening trip to Rogers Park in Danbury, where Newport faces the Westerners at 6:30 p.m.
All Gulls home games begin at 6:35 p.m. and are streamed live on ESPN+ throughout the season.
With a packed slate of games and exciting promotions, this week offers fans plenty of opportunities to catch the Newport Gulls in action as they chase another Fay Vincent Sr. Cup.
