NEWPORT, R.I. – The Newport Gulls continue their impressive start to the 2025 New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) season, remaining unbeaten at Cardines Field with a 4-0 mark at home. The Gulls prepare for another action-packed stretch, including key rivalry games, unique giveaways, and a slate of home and away events.

 

This weekend, Newport hits the road for a rivalry matchup on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 15, as the Gulls take on the Ocean State Waves in South Kingstown at 4:30 p.m. Newport took game one of the Pell Bridge Series last Wednesday, June 11, earning a 7-5 win over the Waves.

 

The Gulls return home to Cardines Field on Monday, June 16, to host the Bristol Blues. Monday night is Salve Regina University Night, featuring FREE camp scholarships and sunscreen giveaways for fans in attendance.

 

On Tuesday, Newport hits the road for their  only trip to Lynn, Mass., to face the North Shore Navigators. The Gulls are back home Wednesday, June 18, for a cross-division showdown with the North Adams SteepleCats. That night is Saccucci Honda Strike For An SUV Night, where fans have a chance to win a FREE SUV.

 

After a day off on Thursday, Newport closes the week at Cardines Field on Friday, June 20, hosting the Mystic Schooners. It’s Aspire Dermatology Night, and the first 250 fans through the gates will receive FREE koozies and sunglasses while supplies last.

 

All home games begin at 6:35 p.m. at historic Cardines Field and are streamed live on ESPN+ throughout the season.

 

With a strong start, a perfect home record, and a full schedule of community events and promotions, it’s the perfect week to catch the Newport Gulls in action as they chase another NECBL title.
