The Hudson Valley Collegiate Baseball League opens up its 30th season in 2025. Founded in 1996, the HVCBL was the only collegiate league using only wood bats at the time, contrary to many other claims. It was often referred to as "the wood bat league". Its origins were due in large to the decline of the Hudson Valley Rookie League at that time. The Rookie League was a very good league for many years and housed many local players. The HVCBL has seen many great collegiate local ballplayers pass through our rosters over the years with some going on to play in The Show. We hope to continue to offer quality competitive baseball for years to come and tip our caps to those players, coaches, umpires and fans that are no longer with us. Your support is and always has been very much appreciated!
