Now at the trail end of April, we’ve begun our countdown to the 2025 summer season, but out guys are still goin’ strong in their collegiate seasons! This week, we’re honoring freshman AJ Ciscar and Kolton Reynolds, two recurring Player of the Week nominations.

Earning Rienzi Pasta Player of the Week accolades is junior Kolton Reynolds out of Tennessee Wesleyan University. The Bulldogs hosted Spartanburg Methodist in a midweek game, where they won 14-5, and followed up with a weekend series victory at St. Andrews. Reynolds had a dominant outing in the series opener, tallying three hits, two of which were doubles, and the other a homerun, and accounted for four RBI’s. Reynolds notched three hits in each of the four matchups, as the Bulldogs went 3-for-4 on the week, tallying for twelve hits, 6 RBI’s, four doubles and seven runs.

On the mound, earning Whalers Brewery Pitcher of the Week honors once again is freshman Anthony “AJ” Ciscar from the University of Miami. Ciscar made his fifteenth appearance for the Hurricanes in their 7-2 win over Georgia Tech, tallying a season-high of 5.1 innings of work. Through five and a third, Ciscar recorded seven strikeouts to zero walks, and only one earned run on the day. This seven strikeouts is good for a career-best in an outing, earning his second win of the year.
