The Goldpanners were named as the best local sports team in the Daily News-Miner "Sports and Entertainment" category.
For Goldpanners' General Manager John Lohrke, fan satisfaction is a big priority for the organization.
"We concentrate a whole lot on fan experience. I think we've succeeded to some extent there for sure," Lohrke said.
Lorhke believes that there are many aspects that go into making a good environment.
"You have to put on a good product," Lohrke said. "The players have to play hard, the park has to be nice. The fans want to be part of something that is successful and is moving in the right direction."
According to Lohrke, the Goldpanners are appreciative of the local support and want to return the favor by staying involved in the community.
"We definitely want to give back to the community, we have a ton of fans that support us."
