Aug 6.12 - Congratulations go out to the UBC Thunder for capturing the 2023 BCPBL Junior Provincial Championships.  The Thunder had quite the tournament winning all 5 games they played, including twice over the #1 seeded Langley Blaze in Pool play, along with the Championship game.
 
In the Championship game vs the Blaze, the Blaze jumped out to 9-7 lead and then in the top of the 6th, the Thunder would come back with 3 runs to take a 10-9 lead; a lead they would not relinquish.  Chris Goehring had an outstanding game going 4 for 4, while Robert Jamieson come on in relief to shut the Blaze offence down with 0 runs over the final 3 innings and picking up the win.  Well done Thunder on a great tournament.
