The Trenton Golden Hawks have announced they are making a coaching change, parting ways with General Manager and Head Coach Jerome Dupont.

Team Spokesperson Shawn Hicks announced, “These types of decisions are very difficult in our business, especially when dealing with good people.  Jerome has done a great job for the Golden Hawks over the years. These changes reflect a change of direction, where development of local players will have a greater focus.”

Todd Reid is to step in as Interim General Manager.  Reid taking the reigns will allow the team to add key pieces starting immediately.

Hicks continued, “The Golden Hawks have very good players set to return and are expected to make a solid run at a championship next season.  Reid has extensive experience as a GM in both Wellington and most recently with Cobourg and we are confident in his ability to recruit.  He also knows Trenton, as he served as Associate Coach with the Golden Hawks in 2017-18.”

The team is working through the process of naming the next Head Coach in the coming weeks, along with several other exciting announcements.
