The New York Islanders, NHL,NHLPA and LIC-ICE  have teamed up to bring a new Learn to Play initiative to New York. The Future Islanders Program provides boys and girls ages 5-8 with an introduction to the great game of hockey, and serves as a transition program for first-time players interested in playing in a house league.

The Future Islanders Program includes eight on-ice training sessions led by New York Islanders Alumni, Arron Asham and Radek Martinek.

Please be advised that our upcoming program is ONLY offered to new, first-time participants (boys and girls) between the ages of 5-8. First-time participants are those participants who have NOT previously been registered to a USA Hockey or Hockey Canada sanctioned minor hockey program and any Learn to Play Hockey sponsors by NHL & NHLPA.
