The WRTBA is excited to introduce the incoming Senior Tritons Staff to begin Fall Ball 2022:

Head Coach - Tyler Lawson 

Tyler wrapped up his 4th season as a Head Coach in the South Fraser Giants program.  He started in 2019, as the Head of the Midget AAA program and began as the College Prep coach in 2021.  Last year, he led the Giants College Prep to their first playoff appearance.

He was a Pitcher/Infielder for the University of the Fraser Valley of the CCBC.  He was selected to represent Team BC at the Under 21 Canadian Nationals in Regina (2016).  He brings various experience as a Head Coach & also works as a lead instructor / travel team coach with the Bullpen Baseball Academy.  Tyler is also an NCCP 18+ Certified Coach.

Outfield & Hitting Coach: 

Ryan Kaplanis 

Ryan wrapped up his 4th season in the Giants program this summer.  He was originally with the Midget AAA team, but joined the Prep Staff in 2020.  

He was a 2nd Team All Star Outfielder in the PBL in 2015 with the Whalley Chiefs.  He finished that season with a top 10 batting average across the entire league.  Ryan played his university baseball with UFV, but it was cut short due to lingering hamstring injuries.  

Infield Coach: 

Chad Miller

Chad also just finished his 4th Season with the Giants Program.  

Chad grew up playing baseball in Richmond.  He was a middle infielder that played at various high levels, such as the PIL.  Chad’s favourite playing highlights are the 1987 nationals in Sherbrooke, Quebec where they won the bronze; along with the premier nationals in Morden, Manitoba in 1994 where they won Gold.  Chad continues to play today in the LMBA Over 30 League.
