Sutherland joined the Buzzers last fall following two years of Jr. B in the GOHL with Fort Erie and Thorold.

He had 48 points (21G/27A) in 54 OJHL games this season.

“Riley was a great addition to our team providing a very strong work ethic and compete level,” Buzzers Head Coach/GM Rich Ricci told the OJHL. “He scored some big goals for us and was a very adaptable player that could play on various lines. He will excel at Plattsburgh.”

Former OJHLers on Plattsburgh’s 2021-22 roster included: Kevin Weaver-Vitale (Markham, Lindsay, Burlington, Trenton, Toronto Patriots), Jacob Hearne (Toronto Jr. Canadiens), Thomas Maia (Oakville, Brantford), Adam Tretowicz (Buffalo), Christian Difelice (Trenton, Buffalo) and Carson Gallagher (Whitby, Cobourg).

Congratulations to Riley and best of luck in the NCAA!

The OJHL, the largest Jr. A hockey league in Canada, has had more than 120 NCAA, U SPORTS, CHL and professional commitments in 2019-20 – including more than 45 NCAA Division I scholarships.
