Trenton Golden Hawks Announce New Coach and GM

     The Ownership of the Trenton Golden Hawks have hired a new General Manager and Head Coach for the 2022-23 OJHL season.

     Sandy Smith, Rod Finney and Shawn Hicks are pleased to announce that former NHLer Jerome Dupont will return to the Junior A Hockey Club. 

     Dupont was the bench boss in Trenton from 2011-2017.  During that time, he led the GHawks to the North-East Conference Finals 3 times, 2 appearances in the OJHL Finals, a Buckland Cup (OJHL Championship), 2 Dudley Hewitt Cups (Central Canadian Championship) and 2 National Championship appearances.

     Other coaching credentials for Dupont include a National Junior A Championship in 2007 with the Aurora Tigers, 2 years of coaching experience with Gatineau Olympiques in the QMJHL and Associate Coach with Brock University in the OUA.   

     Dupont says, “The Trenton Golden Hawks organization and fans have very high standards and so do I.  The goal for this upcoming season it to win a national championship.  I look forward to the challenge that lies ahead.”
