The Cobourg Cougars of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) are pleased to announce that Connor Armour has been hired as the team's Assistant Coach. Connor joins the Cougars having spent the last two seasons as an Assistant Coach with Cobourg’s affiliate club The Port Hope Panthers of the PJHL.
Armour is no stranger to the Cougars having played from 2010-2015 and appeared in 243 regular season games with 78 goals, 153 assists for 231 points. He is just shy of 2 pts for all-time top point getter of the Cougars alumni.
“We as an organization don’t just promote our Players but also like to see our Coaches move on to higher levels of hockey also, this is very well deserved for Connor, Welcome Home Connor” said Bob Breckles Executive Sr. VP of Hockey Operations.
Connor attended Adrian College in Adrian Michigan following his tenure with the Cougars where he averaged a point a game over his 4 years there. In 87 games Connor had 18 goals, 69 assists for 87 points.
"I'm thrilled to be back in Cobourg. Having played my Jr career here it's pretty special to be behind the bench now. I'm looking forward to this upcoming season and working with Peter as part of the Coaching staff" said Connor Armour.
