Two Delta Blue Jays Pitchers Selected to Junior National Team’s Dominican MLB Academy Tour

Congratulations to Carson Latimer and Ryan Heppner for earning spots on the Junior National Team’s Dominican MLB Academy Tour taking place May 11 - 21, 2022.  The boys are trading a weekend ball trip with the Delta Blue Jays in the Okanagan to go to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, for 10 days where they will play 16 games during the tour. 

These Delta Blue Jays pitchers have a chance at playing against professional players who are participating in the Dominican Summer League and include opponents from the San Diego Padres, Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, Colorado Rockies, Houston Astros, Chicago Cubs, Toronto Blue Jays, Pittsburgh Pirates, Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Royals, San Francisco Giants, New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies - What an experience!

Both pitchers showed very well at the Best of the West Tournament in Kamloops this past weekend and, during their very successful seasons so far, each has hit the 90mph mark.
