The goaltender from Toronto joined his hometown Buzzers from the Markham Majors AAA organization this year. The 18-year-old has gone 12-7-1 in 21 appearances with St. Mike’s this season. He has a .925 save percentage – fifth best in the 21-team league – and a 2.87 goals-against average.

At 6-foot-3, Moore has the size of today’s prototypical pro goaltender.

Moore told the OJHL that Bowling Green quickly checked off a lot of boxes.

“During my visit, I felt an immediate connection with the coaching staff,” he said. “They have a very historic and successful hockey program, and the facilities were excellent. Lastly, the atmosphere at Slater Family Ice Arena is second to none.”

“I had interest from several other schools, and I went on a few visits. Once I visited Bowling Green, I knew it was the school for me.”

For now, he’s enjoying his time in the OJHL.

“My experience with the Buzzers has been great,” he said. “The Buzzers have so much tradition, from the arena to all the players before me. This year we have an amazing group of guys, and our coaching staff has created a winning atmosphere in our program.”

Former Buzzer and Oakville Blade Ryan O’Hara is a freshman at Bowling Green this season.

Congratulations to Cole and best of luck in the OJHL and NCAA!
