SPIRIT ANNOUNCES COACHING STAFF

The Stouffville Spirit is proud to announce its coaching staff for the 2021-22 Ontario Junior Hockey League season.

Scott Donato was appointed head coach in April.

His assistant coaches are TJ Hill, Joe Trentadue and Matt Riel.

TJ Hill - Previously coached with OJHL’s Pickering Panthers and Newmarket Hurricanes. 

Joe Trentadue - Coached in the Ajax Pickering Raiders AAA program the past three years. Trentadue is a scout with the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League.

Matt Riel - Has previous OJHL experience with Pickering Panthers, Lindsay Muskies and Peterborough Stars. Riel also has worked with Peterborough AAA Petes program.

“I am very excited to work with TJ, Joe and Matt for the upcoming season,” Donato said. “We all share the same vision on what we want the 2021-22 Stouffville Spirit to be, and I’m excited to work with them to develop our players on and off the ice.”

The Spirit opens the OJHL regular season Oct. 1 in Aurora.

Aurora visits Stouffville for the Spirit’s home opener the next night – Oct. 2 at the Stouffville Arena.
