Today the Cobourg Cougars have announced a number of changes to the organization's front office ahead of the 2021-2022 OJHL Season.
General Manager Alex Guiney has stepped down from his role with the Cougars. "It's been an absolute pleasure to be a part of the Cobourg Cougars organization and to work with some tremendous people over the last year and a half," said Alex Guiney on his resignation as the club's General Manager. "I'm proud of the work we've done here in Cobourg during the pandemic and have the utmost faith in Todd Reid, Wes Wolfe, and the staff with the Cougars as they prepare for the 2021-2022 season."
Director of Hockey Operations Todd Reid has been promoted to General Manager of the Cougars. Todd previously served as General Manager of the Wellington Dukes prior to joining the Cougars last season.
"I'm excited for this opportunity to take on an expanded role with the Cougars, one of the most storied franchises in junior hockey," said Todd Reid. "I appreciate ownership's trust in me and look forward to bringing a championship back to the great town of Cobourg."
In addition to the promotion of Mr. Reid to General Manager, the Cougars have hired Steve Irving as the club's Director of Business Operations and Josh Lemire as Director of Analytics and Hockey Operations Assistant.
