Pittsburgh, PA -

Duquesne's ACHA Division 1 Head Coach Conrad Waite announced two additions to their staff, bringing back former coach and Duquesne alum Josh Hetz, and adding Jake Hetz as the Skills & Development Coach. He also announced a new title for Sean Moloney, promoting him to Goaltending Director.

Josh previously coached for Duquesne for two seasons from 2016-2018, before stepping down to pursue a Master's Degree. A 2015 graduate of the Palumbo school of business, Josh was a valuable part of the program as a captain, and leader on and off the ice.

"Josh will oversee our Defensemen, a position where he excelled on the ice with the Dukes. He was my first assistant coach when I was hired in 2016 and I’m thrilled to have him back behind the bench with me again."

His brother Jake, joins the coaching staff after recently completing his college career playing 4 seasons at the NCAA D1 level with Ferris State. His prime responsibilities will include overseeing the development of all players within the program. Waite noted that “the experience that he brings to our program is invaluable. He has already started working with some of our players this summer and his passion, dedication and knowledge of the game shined through immediately.”

Jake is excited to bring the habits and skills that he’s experienced at high levels of the game to the Dukes and help develop each and every player to their full potential.

With the coaching staff for the D1 team set, and the new additions to the D3 coaching staff, Waite is excited to start the season in just a few weeks, “I truly believe that we have one of the best coaching staffs in the country. We’d be lucky to have just one or two of these coaches involved with our program, to have all of them on board is an embarrassment of riches. The sky is the limit with this team, and I’m excited to help our players get there.”
