The Cobourg Cougars are pleased to announce that the organization has acquired Justin Jamer in a trade with the Humboldt Broncos of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL). Justin played the last two seasons with the Broncos, and in 2019-20 recorded 25 (11G, 14A) points in 51 games.

"Justin brings a dynamic to our forward group that is difficult to find. He uses his size and strength to create space for himself and his teammates in the offensive zone by winning puck battles and forcing the opposition to play hard minutes. He also has an impressive scoring touch around the net and we believe he will contribute in a big way," said Head Coach and Assistant General Manager Wes Wolfe on the acquisition of Justin. "Justin also epitomizes what we are looking for in our hockey players - character, integrity, and work ethic: he was the recipient of the Humboldt Broncos' Elgar Petersen Award for On & Off Ice Contributions and is widely regarded as a great teammate."

In exchange for Justin Jamer, the Cougars have traded Zacharie Dumas to the Broncos. Zacharie joined the Cougars last season from the Whitecourt Wolverines of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL), having played previously for Upper Canada College in Toronto. The Cougars would like to thank Zacharie for his contributions to our program and wish him well this season.
