The Stallions Hockey Club at WMU is excited to announce their first signing for the 2021-2022 season, as they sign forward Gavin Hoover from the USPHL’s Florida Eels.

            Gavin is originally from Mishawaka, Indiana, and is currently attending Mishawaka High School through virtual learning. He spent his first year of junior hockey playing for the Florida Eels, before spending the beginning of last season with the New Jersey Titans organization. He was able to return and finish his junior career with the Eels, playing his final 18 games this past season in Florida.

            Gavin plans to study Engineering at Western Michigan University, and is excited to have the chance to play at a university near home. Head Coach Andy Reynolds said, “We are excited to get a tough, hard working player like Gavin. I think his energy and playing style will be extremely beneficial to our team during crunch time”.
