MATTHEW FALLS COMMITS TO UNIV. WISCONSIN STEVENS POINT

The Cobourg Cougars of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) are pleased to announce the commitment of 2000-born forward, Matthew Falls, to the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point for the 2021-2022 season. 

 

Matthew joined the Cougars this off-season via a trade with the Toronto Jr. Canadiens and in 189 career OJHL games recorded 35 goals and 49 assists. Matthew suited up for the Cougars in 4 exhibition games vs the Whitby Fury this season, scoring a goal for the Cougars during the 2020-2021 bubble series. 

 

Matthew played his minor hockey for the Toronto Jr. Canadiens in the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) and was drafted 109th overall by the Peterborough Petes in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection. 

 

Matthew joins former Cougars captain, Nicholas Aromatario, with the Pointers and intends to study business while at Universtiy.
