The Trenton Golden Hawks continue their signing of players ahead of the 2020-21 season.

Earlier this summer it was announced that Khaden Henry would be leaving the Picton Pirates.

His next stop is the OJHL and the Trenton Golden Hawks.

He was named the 2019-20 Tod Division Junior C Rookie of the Year. A year he dominated with the Picton Pirates.

Trenton Coach/GM Peter Goulet says, “Henry is an extremely talented young man. Not only has he come out of the Quinte Red Devils, he also played junior locally. He was also one of the best Junior C players in 2019-20.”

Henry says, “I am really looking forward to taking on the challenge of the OJHL, especially in Trenton. Coach Goulet and Trenton are great. Peter helped me throughout the year last year. He guided me into Junior C, where I grew, and developed."

Henry stacked up 37 goals, 23 assists, and 60 points overall. He led the team in goals and points in Picton. The forward is 5’8/154 pounds and turned 18 in April.

Most of his Triple A playing days were in Whitby with the Wildcats, however his final year he came to live in the Quinte region.

Henry says, "Having have some strong offensive numbers helped things moving into this off season. I feel I can bring a strong offensive flare to Trenton. I also want to really focus on my defensive work. It is important for that to improve to make me a more complete player. It is nice that I already know Jackson Boyer, and Julien Jacob. It will make my transition easier."

As far as his hockey career, Henry says he is not looking to far ahead. " I just want to focus and do my best for my team right now. If I can stay focused, it will help my future. I will look at options as they become available."
