MAJOR MOVES IN BURLINGTON

Date:  Source: OJHL Burlington Cougars

As the temperature continues to rise in Burlington, the trade market remains just as hot for the Cougars. With a new partnership, a new logo and a new direction, the Burlington Cougars have been very active on the trade market over the summer. In a series of moves, the Burlington brass added some size and scoring depth up front, stability on the blue line and some more youth to the goal crease.

With a number of key players finishing their junior hockey careers last season - including captain Matt Hobbs, assistants Harrison Cottam and Derek McVey, leading goal-scorer Keanan Stewart and starting goaltender Max Wright - replenishing the roster was a known quantity going into the offseason.

In case you missed any of the action, here’s a breakdown of the Burlington Cougars’ trades this offseason:

  • Burlington Cougars receive F Jalen Balbosa from the Aurora Tigers in exchange for F Jacob Kelly
