Black Wolves Trade Mackenzie Mitchell to Riptide

UNCASVILLE, CT. (July 6, 2020) – It was announced today that the New England Black Wolves have traded Mackenzie Mitchell and the team’s 29th pick in the NLL Entry Draft to the New York Riptide. This transaction is in exchange for the Rochester Knighthawks’ 18th overall selection in the upcoming draft.

"We want to thank Mack for his efforts and professionalism while a member of the Black Wolves,” general manager and head coach Glenn Clark said. “As an organization, we want to wish Mack good luck in his future lacrosse endeavors."

During his two years with the Black Wolves, Mitchell appeared in eight contests as a defenseman. While on the back end, he collected 27 loose balls, caused six turnovers and tallied five assists.

The Orangeville, ON native has seen three years of action in the league after being drafted by the Buffalo Bandits in the 2017 NLL Entry Draft. His career totals include 16 games played, seven assists, 47 loose balls and nine caused turnovers.
