ORLEANS, MA- On April 24, 2020, the Cape Cod Baseball League announced that it was unanimously decided by the CCBL Executive Committee that the 2020 Cape Cod Baseball League season would be cancelled "based on the health concerns and safety needs of all involved."  Read the full statement from the CCBL here.

Additionally, the Orleans Firebirds and the Orleans Athletic Association released the following joint statement:

"These are unprecedented times. It is difficult to envision a Cape summer without the Firebirds at Eldredge Park, but the safety and well-being of our Firebirds community, as always, is our number one priority. The Firebirds have voted along with the other teams in the CCBL to cancel the 2020 season.  Our Lower Cape community has had the excitement of many fantastic summer evenings under the stars at our beloved Eldredge Park and trust us there will be many more in upcoming seasons. Be safe and stay well. We’ll be back stronger and more excited as ever in 2021."
