Date: Jul 7, 2025
The Western Michigan University Stallions are eager to announce their third commitment to the 2020-2021 roster. We welcome Blake Siewertsen from Kentwood, Michigan, who previously played for the Louisiana Drillers in the NA3HL. In his last season with the Drillers, Siewertsen tallied 37 goals and 41 assists, for a total of 78 points in the 45 games he played.
Siewertsen has been playing since he was four years old. One of Siewertsen’s favorite hockey memories was winning the District 6 championship in 2009 while playing for the Holland Ice Dogs.
Siewertsen sees himself playing pro hockey overseas 10 years from now. He enjoys playing gold and basketball in his free time.
When asked what brought him to WMU and what he hopes to achieve here, Siewertsen replied, “I love the feeling of Kalamazoo. It’s close to home and offers a lot of opportunities post-graduation. I hope to achieve good grades in the classroom and perform the best of my abilities in the ice.”
