CAMP WRAPS UP FOR EE24
Date: Jun 20, 2024
The Elite Edge Hockey Showcase and the Eastern Hockey League are proud to announce a partnership for the coming 2020 program that will feature the largest number of EHL teams ever in attendance at the Nashville showcase.
Entering its 15th year, the Elite Edge Hockey Showcase has hosted teams from the EHL for years – however, this year, the partnership with the EHL means the number of teams will grow substantially from the 19-team league.
“I am very excited to add these additional teams to our group coming to the 2020 Elite Edge Hockey Showcase,” said program director Brandon Walker. “Our number one goal is to give our players the most exposure to all levels of hockey opportunities and this is a great step. A number of Elite Edge graduates have played at the EHL level and I know that this partnership will provide even more of those success stories.”
Several EHL teams have been a fixture at the Elite Edge Hockey Showcase in past years. Jon Rogger (head coach of the Philadelphia Revolution), Ryan McGrath (head coach of the Valley Jr. Warriors) and Brett Tryder (head coach of the Seacoast Spartans) were all part of the program last year. In addition, several Elite Edge graduates have moved on to play in the EHL and then move on to college hockey. Notably, Noah Wild (NY Apple Core, Southern New Hampshire University), Van Sullivan (Valley, Gustavus University), Hunter Wilhoite (Valley, U-Mass Dartmouth) and Tom Bay (Philadelphia Jr. Flyers, U-Mass Dartmouth).
“I am very excited to be attending this year's Elite Edge Hockey Showcase in Nashville,” said Neil Ravin, Director of Communications. “While this is my first time taking in the event, a number of our coaches have been coming to this showcase for years, and have expressed great reviews on an annual basis. I am very thankful to Brandon Walker for allowing me the chance to speak with the players and parents in June, and tell them more about what the EHL has to offer.”
The 2020 Elite Edge Hockey Showcase will take place June 15-18, 2020 at the new Ford Ice Bellevue, located 10 miles from downtown Nashville. The program is open to players born 2001-06 and will include players from throughout the USA, Canada and Europe. More than 40 coaches will be in attendance from all levels of college and junior hockey.
