It seems it is either sink or swim for the Trenton Golden Hawks when it comes to scoring goals.

They could not muster much Sunday night, falling 5-1 to the Cobourg Cougars.  Cobourg goaltender Dershahn Stewart was fantastic, making 44 saves in the win.

They scored 23 goals in the three prior games and were only able to beat the goaltender once Sunday.

Trenton would win the weekend however, getting four of a possible six points, after wins against Cobourg Thursday (9-1), and in Wellington Friday (4-1).

Trenton continues to lead the East Division of the OJHL with 9 points, but Wellington is breathing down their necks.  They are seven points back but have five games in hand.

The G-Hawks are off until Friday, when they welcome Cobourg again.  The two teams will have played four times in January.

Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m.

The Wellington Dukes are also off until Friday, when they begin a home-and-home with the Lindsay Muskies.
