Oberoi, 20, went 4-1-0 during Trenton’s six games in December, posting a 0.80 goals-against average with an equally miniscule .971 save percentage. He was one of two goalies to lead the 22-team league with two shutouts: 9-0 over the North York Rangers Dec. 13 and 4-0 over the Brampton Admirals Dec. 21.

On the season, Oberoi sports a .917 save percentage and 2.32 GAA. He’s 16-7-0 with three shutouts.

The Ottawa-area product played for his hometown Kanata Lasers of the CCHL during the 2016-17 season. The 6-foot-4 goalie was a member of the Erie Otters in the Ontario Hockey League the next season. Trenton acquired him Sept. 24, 2018. He played minor hockey in the Kanata Blazers and Ottawa Senators organizations.

Brendan Bonello of the Pickering Panthers was runner-up to Oberoi as the Goaltender-of-the-Month. The Mississauga native went 5-1-1 during December, posting a 1.12 GAA and a .962 save percentage. He was the other OJHL goaltender with two shutouts on the month.

The 20-year-old has gone 9-1-1 with Pickering since joining the red-hot Panthers from Kingston of the OHL on Oct. 31.
